Glenn Nadel was a local actor and chiropractor who passed away on Tuesday, Feb 12th-2008. He was a wonderful man who helped and impacted many lives. This page is a tribute to him. If you have words that you would like to share, please email them to us. He also taught chess to children and did a ton of pro-bono work.

KENNESAW - Family, friends and colleagues are mourning the death of Lost Mountain Middle School teacher Kim Tomko, who was found dead in her Bartow County home July 17.

Kim was a beautiful, confident and vivacious women.  She was a staunch actress, performing her characters with zeal and purpose.  I am glad I had the opportunity to work with her.  She will be missed!

Glenn was a special person to so many of us. The news of his untimely passing is a shock to us all. Glenn was a fellow thespian, my chiropractor and my friend. I can't remember him ever having a harsh word against anyone. He was always so kind hearted, uplifting, encouraging and always just wanted to hear me sing. My favorite joke with him is when we would schedule my appointments and I would tell him I had class on a certain night. His response "Jennifer you are a classy lady, you always have class." It saddens me that I will never hear him say that again. We shared so many laughs. Glenn you will be missed more than you could have ever known.

That is truly sad news.  Kim was a wonderful person and a talented actress.  I directed her in "Southern Fried Murder" with Rock the Boat Productions about 3 years ago.  I think I did a photo call with that show.  I will check my records to see if I have any pictures to contribute.

Glenn was a friend of mine for many years. We met at a theatre performing in a show. Since then we've performed in many shows together and work together whenever possible. We would frequently talk about old shows or old people we used to work with. He was a great chess player (and teacher) and beat me every time I tried to play him. But he never gloated... It wasn't his style. Glenn was a man who's great gift was loving everyone he met. And making them feel welcome and like they had a friend. Whether he disagreed with you or felt iffy about certain things you did... He still made you feel good. Just being around him you'd know he cared... He was a very funny individual and could make a joke out of almost anything... He was smart and wise... a rare combination. But to top it off he was as giving a soul as could ever be. He and I at one point, several years ago, worked out a trade... I'd teach him guitar and in exchange he would give me spinal adjustments. After one lesson he decided guitar was not his strong suit and gave up, temporarily on lessons... But he insisted on adjusting me anyway; and that I make follow up appointments almost every week for the next year and a half. Not once asking me for money, nor resuming his guitar lessons which I wanted to give him. As our mutual friend Dr. Scimeca recently said. Glenn was imperfectly perfect. And that, I must say, is the absolute best description I could ever give. He may not have been the best dancer, or singer... But it could never be said that my friend Glenn Nadel had any flaws of character. If you describe any of his traits you'll know it's true. He could compliment you in just the right way. He could encourage you in the right way. He could even make you laugh at something so simple, you'd never know it was a joke. Glenn was made to be the greatest friend anyone could ever ask for. He gave everything and insisted on taking nothing back. My biggest regret, is that I didn't study Glenn on a daily basis to determine how I could be more like him... And what I really want, is for everyone who knew him to think about him... And try to find at least one way that we could all use to be a little more like Dr. Glenn Nadel. I will miss you. You were my closest friend.

Glenn Nadel was also in Cheaper by the Dozen at the Blackwell Playhouse.
He was excellent in the role of Frank Gilbreth, Sr. He will truly be missed.

Glenn and I worked together in Frankenstein.  As the blind DeLacey he showed The Creature kindness, patience and a willingness to teach.  These were many of the traits he showed in real life.  Glenn will be missed in our community, he took his craft seriously but still enjoyed a good joke.  When DeLancey died The Creature was heartbroken, that’s nothing compared to how I feel now.

Glenn was a great friend and a very gifted actor. I had the privileged of directing him in Frankenstein. I cannot think of another actor who would have played the role with such grace and humility. He helped me when I was ill because of a car wreck, and never cease to give when the opportunity arose. You will be missed, my friend.

I was saddened to hear the news of Glenn Nadel's passing.  We were both recently cast in the show Narnia and  I was looking forward to working with him again.  His sense of humour and friendliness came through as he portrayed numerous characters during his acting career.  I am glad I got to know him and work with him on stage.  He will truly be missed.

My condolences to the family of Glenn, he will be missed.  He was a strong advocate of local theater and a loyal contributor to many plays thru the years.  I knew Glen from our association with the Big Top Theater.

dear sweet man died this week. His name is Glenn Nadel and he was a chiropractor and an actor. He recently took on acting and was in Frankenstein and Arsenic and Old Lace at Blackwell Playhouse. He had a gift for comedy. (He was also in Into the Woods for a little while playing Cinderella's Father.) When my husband got in a car wreck, Glenn gave him chiropractic care for free to help with his whiplash. He was always kind and giving. He recently went into the hospital for pneumonia and never came out again. He just turned 50.
The atlanta theater community has lost a great actor and friend.
RIP Glenn Nadel.

How many people out there have been blessed in some way by having Glenn as a friend? He was sweet and witty, and really loved to have fun. When I hurt my back BADLY, he was so great, and really helped me. I could barely move...and he helped me unselfishly. Not only was he a great doctor, he was a great friend.

Great actor, too! Very funny! We were in an improv show together, and I remember him coming out from backstage in a grey wig and BRIGHT RED LIPSTICK. I think that EVERYONE in the audience did a double-take.

I just can't believe this happened. I owe so much to my friendship with Glenn, and will miss him so very much.

had met Glenn over at Big Top Theatre and at Blackwell Playhouse. He was to be in Into The Woods, but was unable to. The short time that I knew him, I found him to be extremely kind and helpful. He will be greatly missed. It was a great shock to hear of his passing.
