"Mrs. Robinson, you're trying to seduce me. Aren't you?" The infamous phrase from the great American classic film. Based on the movie adapted by Terry Johnson adapted from the novel by Charles Webb. It's the summer of 1965, golden boy and very recent college graduate Benjamin Braddock returns home to the lap of California luxury with a serious case of the now-what-do-I-do-with-my-life blues. Benjamin needs to "find himself" -- but finds himself becoming, instead, a bedtime boy-toy for the ruthless Mrs. Robinson. It's an affair that gives riotous and racy new meaning to May-December romance -- until Benjamin meets Elaine. Smart, pretty, 20 year-old Elaine, Ben's soul-mate, Ben's Juliet, Ben's dream come true -- and Mrs. Robinson's daughter. For Mature Audiences Only. The Octette Bridge Club

Kudzu Playhouse is holding open non-equity auditions for The Octette Bridge Club by P. J. Barry on Tuesday, January 12 and Wednesday, January 13 at 7pm. Adriana Bosna Warner will be directing. We will be casting 1 man (27) and 8 women (sisters) between the ages of 37 and 54. Be prepared to do cold readings from the script. There are eight wonderful roles for women in this sentimental comedy about American life in a bygone era. On alternate Friday evenings, eight sisters meet to play bridge and gossip. The emotionally distraught youngest, who does a hilarious Salome belly dance, has just gotten out of a sanitarium and knows that she must cut the bonds to her smothering family and strike out on her own. One woman must sing and two must play the piano. The audition will be at Kudzu Playhouse at 10743 Alpharetta Highway in the Brannon Square Shopping Center in Roswell, Ga. 30076. The show will run March 5-April 4, 2010 on Friday and Saturday nights at 8pm and Sunday at 3pm. Email kudzuplayhouse@aol.com or call the box office at 770-594-1020 if you have any other questions.
